In 2019, our co-founder Brian had his bathroom grout redone — twice. The first contractor ghosted him halfway through. The second overcharged and used the wrong sealer. There was no reliable way to find someone good.
That experience sparked GroutAdvisor. We started by manually vetting contractors in Seattle, building trust one project at a time. Word spread fast. Homeowners loved knowing who they were inviting into their homes. Contractors loved getting leads that were actually ready to hire.
Today we operate in over 500 cities across all 50 states. Our platform has facilitated hundreds of thousands of quotes and tens of thousands of completed projects. But we're still driven by the same simple idea: you deserve to find a great contractor without the stress.
